Training

Every race is a journey in one’s life, and how each of us copes with it depends on our own personal starting point – in terms of how we deal with personal hardships and the emotional, mental and physical aspects involved.

Running has been a significant part of my life for almost 30 years, during which I have met with many different challenges, from 10 km runs to multiday international races lasting up to ten consecutive days.

As the parent of four children, as a running coach with many years of experience and mainly as a clinical psychologist, I can state without hesitation that challenges we set for ourselves, especially in races and new endeavors, create internal processes that impact on us in many other parts of our lives as well.

As a coach who accompanies his trainees on this journey, I create a reciprocal environment in which a process unfolds that supports the runner’s growth from within the experience and from having to cope with internal difficulties – beginning with the training process and continuing to the exciting moment of the actual competition or race.
